St John's College is situated in the historic heart of the ancient city of Durham, within a UNESCO World Heritage site. Only a stone’s throw away from Durham Cathedral, our College boasts a series of interconnected Georgian houses, as well as secluded gardens and lawns stretching down to the River Wear.
St John's College offers a unique location as a venue for conferences and events, with our beautifully presented versatile spaces. You can choose from the modern Learning Resource Centre to our mix of modern and Georgian rooms located in the Grade two listed Georgian part of the College. There’s a room suitable for all types of events.
In warmer months there is also the use of the College gardens which make for an elegant backdrop for summer events.
The St John's Catering team are greatly experienced in providing the perfect menu for every occasion to make your event truly memorable. From intimate dinners for 10, to much larger celebrations of 100+, we can provide beautiful spaces to suit every taste.
Room hire starts at £75, with catering prices on request.
