Join Adventure Access on the River Wear for Dragon Boating, Open Canoeing and Stand Up Paddle Boarding at Durham Amateur Rowing Club, just a few minutes walk from the city centre. Stand up Paddleboard lessons start from £25pp and private Dragon Boat Tournaments starting from £27pp.
You can book onto our public session as an individual or you can book a private session as a group.
The kind of groups that we cater for are Birthday parties, School Groups, Scout/Guide groups, Adult only groups, Youth Groups, Charities, Hen/stag do’s, Special needs, .
Our group sizes for Stand Up Paddleboarding and Open Canoeing are between 8 and 16 people, starting from ages 8 and up for Paddleboarding and 6 and up for Open Canoeing.
Our Group sizes for Dragon Boating are between 13 and 100 people, for those larger showstopping events you may want to do. Dragon Boating starts at ages 10 and up.
You can also book a BBQ to have after your session at the rowing club in their lovely beer garden.
We have access to hot showers, toilets and changing facilities in the rowing club.
As well as activities on the river we have a site in Seaham along the coast where we have Stand up Paddle boarding and Kayaking sessions starting at £20 per person from ages 8 and up (6 if with an adult in a double kayak)
We are also a specialist in working with groups and individuals with additional needs. The company was founded on the principle of access to adventure for all.
Adventure Access is a British Canoeing delivery partner, we deliver paddlesports qualifications and training to a high standard, anything from your first personal performance award to Instructor courses.
