About
Finished to a very high standard and enjoying easy access to the sights of the North Pennines National Landscape, Bramblewood Cottage is a marvellous retreat for a family of eight wanting to escape the hustle and bustle of life.
The property offers guests ample off-road parking, so you can leave your cars in a safe spot before wandering into this well-appointed property.
As you enter the property, you will discover a stylish open-plan living space, where a sleek sitting area awaits with plush sofas, a flatscreen TV and a toasty woodburning stove.
After unwinding with a movie, progress through the space to the fabulous kitchen, a space boasting marble-style worktops and a selection of high-quality appliances for the budding chef of the group to rustle up delectable dishes with.
The dining area can be found behind the kitchen and is bathed in natural light, thanks to the Velux windows, making for a fantastic socialising space; if you'd prefer a quick bite to eat, there is also a handy breakfast bar.
As day turns to night, head to bed in one of four bedrooms, with one of these resting on the ground floor and enjoying access to a handy shower room and utility; continue upstairs where three more well-presented bedrooms can be found, along with a brilliant bathroom that hosts a bath and separate walk-in shower.
In the morning, sit out on one of the patios and enjoy a steaming cup of tea or coffee, before venturing out to explore the wider area.
Middleton-in-Teesdale is home to everything you need during your self-catering break, including a range of pubs and cafes, as well as an amply equipped supermarket; the town is also home to the Kingsway Adventure Centre, for those seeking outdoors activities nearby.
Take some time to get to know this lovely part of the North Pennines, and travel a small distance north of the town, where the glorious sights of the High Force Waterfall and Summerhill Force & Gibson's Cave can be found in Bowlees; the Cow Green Reservoir and the Weardale Ski Club also aren't far and provide you with a range of sports to partake in.
Barnard Castle rests a short distance away and is home to the awe-inspiring remains of its Castle, a gateway to the Deepdale Nature Reserve and the renowned Bowes Museum, a breath-taking building that hosts fascinating exhibits.
Venture further to Stanhope, where the Weardale nature reserve can be found, along with the stunning hiking area of the Weardale Way and the enchanting Stepping Stones.
There is so much more waiting to be discovered in and around the North Pennines National Landscape, from the locations of Staindrop and Bishop Auckland, to the wonders of the Smiddy Shaw Reservoir and The Waskerley Way.
Whisk your family away for an unforgettable stay at Bramblewood Cottage.
