You are here > Home > Accommodation > Peartree Cottage 1960's Experience
Fully re-furbished with authentic 1960's fixtures and fittings but benefiting from modern technology that we all take for granted in the 21st century.
Set in the Railway town of Shildon, home of Locomotion Railway museum and within walking distance of restaurants, public houses and shops.
Ideal location for Kynren. Local areas of Durham, Barnard Castle, Bishop Auckland and Darlington can be reached easily by car.
The Space
Two bedroom cottage suitable for 4 people with double bed and two singles. Upstairs bathroom and additional toilet on the ground floor. Living room with wood burner and separate kitchen/diner with working 1960s Belling electric oven. All rooms fitted and decorated with authentic 1960s artefacts. Outside to the rear is an enclosed rear yard with off street parking for small/medium sized car and to the front of the cottage is a South facing enclosed yard with original well.
Guest Access
Guests have exclusive use of the entire property. It is worth noting that the property does not benefit from level access and the stairs are steeper than you would find in a new building.
