   Durham Cathedral

   Discounted Catering Options

   We can offer a range of catering choices such as lunch or cream tea and scones after your tour.

   These are served to your group in the medieval Prior’s Hall, formerly the Prior’s dining room when the Cathedral was a monastery. This is not usually open to the public and is subject to availability.

   The menu is deisgned for groups of 20 or more.

   Groups are also welcome to visit the Undercroft Restaurant on an individual basis for homemade refreshments.

   Groups of 12 or more can also enjoy free exclusive use of the luxurious Jubilee Room, splendidly decorated with silks and a chandelier, and with views over the beautiful surrounding Teesdale countryside. Group dining is the most convenient way to make your visit special- please browse our delicious menu  Groups are welcome to visit the café bowes however if the group pre books catering they can enjoy a 10% discount on this.  Specialist groups will enjoy a gallery talk by one of the Museum's curators. Curator talks are available Monday-Friday, subject to availability and are charged at £60.00 per hour, please contact us for more information.
