This year’s Christmas Town runs from Friday 29th November to Sunday 8th December, and the family ticket can be redeemed on any of these dates, ensuring flexibility for your festive visit. There are plenty of other attractions on offer including a bandstand stage, live shows in giant tipi bars, vibrant Christmas market stalls, character Meet-and-Greets, and Merry Makers Workshops, making this year’s celebration even more spectacular.
Bishop Auckland’s Christmas Town, founded in 2019 and produced by Baccanalia and Bridge Creative with the generous support of its principal partner, Bishop Auckland Town Council, sponsor Bishop Auckland College, and partnerships with local businesses and organisations. It has since become a cherished tradition in the town, last year welcoming an incredible 35,000 visitors who were enchanted by the twinkling lights, delightful attractions, and heartwarming holiday spirit. The winner(s) will be drawn at random by the Promoter (Visit County Durham) within four working days of the competition closing date. The winner(s) will be notified by email within one week of the winner being drawn. The winner(s) must notify Visit County Durham of their acceptance of the prize within five working days of notification. In the event of non-response or non-acceptance within the specified time period, the Promoter reserves the right to reallocate the prize to the next randomly drawn valid entry.
