You are here > Home > Things to Do > Crimdon - Connecting the Coast
Take a relaxing stroll to admire the flowers and butterflies on the Hart to Haswell disused railway line, visit Crimdon Dene and admire the viaduct, then enjoy a cuppa at the Dunes Café.
The yellow and green walks connect to the King Charles III England Coast Path. This path is being developed and will soon go all the way around the coast of England. The section in Durham is fully open and provides wonderful views of the cliffs, beaches and coastal wildlife. Look south to Hartlepool to see Steetley Pier, f ind the mosaic bench and enjoy the big views of the sandy beach and the sea. The green walk has good firm surfaces and is suitable for most people, although barriers restrict access for mobility scooters. The other walks may be muddy in wet weather. There are plenty of benches on the walks. Take care on the coast, follow local signs and keep back from the cliff edge.
