You are here > Home > Things to Do > Mid-Teesdale Circular Walk
This 6.6 mile circular walk takes you through the beautiful countryside of the North Pennines National Landscape and mid-Teesdale.
This walk is an excellent way to explore the wonderful countryside and villages of the North Pennines and Teesdale. There are excellent pubs/restaurants in Mickleton and Romaldkirk and the hidden gem of Eggleston Hall, Gardens and Tea rooms.
From the car park on the Railway Path at Mickleton, follow the path towards Romaldkirk. Turn left into and through the village. Follow the footpath (signed Teesdale Way) across the meadows to Eggleston Bridge. Cross the bridge over the river Tees and follow the roads to the top of Eggleston village. Turn left on a minor road and follow the public footpath (still the Teesdale Way), crossing the main road to Egglesburn Farm. Follow the public footpath to the River Tees and turn left to Beckstones Wath footbridge. Follow the public footpath and minor road back to Mickleton.
