The UK’s biggest outdoor live theatre event - Kynren, An Epic Tale of England makes a spectacular return to its stunning Bishop Auckland stage in Durham for 2020 with a host of amazing new attractions as part of an incredible new development.
Created by Eleven Arches, the Park is a major new daytime attraction for the region and will complement the multi-award winning Kynren evening performances.
Set in the beautifully landscaped grounds of Kynren, the Park will offer visitors an action-packed afternoon of fun, new experiences including an electrifying Horse Stunt Show, immersive family attractions and all-new dining experiences.
Under the expert eye of internationally renowned artistic director Charles Lamarche, Kynren’s equine cast and their highly-skilled riders will perform never-before-seen stunts, daredevil chariot races and jousting live on the panoramic outdoor stage ahead of the evening performance.
The afternoon entertainment also features the Maze of Fame where visitors encounter a cast of colourful, iconic characters. Watch out for surprises around every corner.
Other new attractions include the enchanting mini explorers’ themed Adventure Playground which sits alongside existing favourites including the walkthrough Viking Village, Animal Croft and Georgian Shop.
Visitors can also relax and listen to Live Music on the Lake before the show begins while enjoying tasty treats from the new food outlets.
The new dining experiences cater for all tastes. From the Hog Roast Meal Deal which will complement the existing street food options in the Food Village, and the new covered family dining in the Food Hall to the guaranteed covered seating and waiter service with the new two-course seated and exclusive VIP dining packages, there is something for all visitors to enjoy.
“The Park is the most ambitious addition to the Kynren spectacular and is a major step towards our vision of creating a truly world-class family destination experience here in the North East” said Anne-Isabelle Daulon, CEO and Co-Founder of Kynren.
“The addition of all the new afternoon attractions and new show will provide an exciting and entertaining experience for audiences to immerse themselves in before the Kynren performance” she added.
